How to start really thinking? Write!
The unexamined life is not worth living
By journaling daily you can quickly notice your patterns of thoughts and have your life examined and analysed by YOU!
Today we will talk about the importance of the exercise called journaling, and I know from my experience that there are two groups. One group loves writing; they have no problems with journaling. And the other group, which is … “No, I am not good in writing. I don’t like it.” Let me just tell you, this is one of the best and effective tool in business and personal development. So, whether you love to write or not please just give a try, you will see the results much faster. You’ll be more focused and less stress.
The idea is to buy a very nice notebook that you like. It should be in your taste and to write in it every single day. It can be for one minute, two minutes, five minutes. It can be for half an hour or more depending on the day and what you will need. The secret is to do it. So, how you can do it?
There are few parts, first part is dumping the crap on it part that I call, and it’s a very crucial part. Well, you basically take a page in your notebook, and you put everything from your head that it’s telling you, “You cannot do it, you have fears. You woke up in the morning and something happened. You are distracted.” Just anything that you are thinking, and it’s linked to your and you are just writing it all down, writing it all down and you ask yourself, “Is there something more?” And if it’s there, you just put it on the paper. You just put it on the paper and it’s there. You just clean your head out from a very negative talks, patters, fears, and for the moment you don’t have to do anything about that. I ask you today just to write it down every day, whatever it is. If you have nothing, cool, you don’t have to write that section. If you have a lot, cool, you just have to write all down and please you will see how better you feel when you actually take it out from your head into the paper, when it’s belong. It is amazing exercise.
Second part of journaling it’s actually about finding at least five things that you are grateful for. And it’s very important to first just dump all the shit, and the second part is to bring your focus from your heart and mind on the things that you are true grateful for. And we always start with easy things. We start by saying, “Thank you so much for the breadth I’m taking. I’m so grateful for the air that I can breath. I’m so grateful for the sun that just rise and I got another day to live on that planet. I’m so grateful for people in my life,” and you can named it. “I’m so grateful for my heart that is pumping the blood in my chest and I can … I don’t have to do anything to program that.
I’m so grateful for my notebook that I can write in it. I am so grateful for my legs that I can walk and they can carry me for a whole day,”
They can be big or small things, like breath, which is of course a small thing but a big thing also. So, take time to do that part.
The third part is actually very important. This part is about focusing that energy, that clean energy of being grateful and deciding what you actually want to do with that day. What actually three things, which specific things you can do today in order to move you forward to achieve your goals?
So, three parts. First, dumping all shit on the paper. Second part, focusing your mind your heart on the things you are grateful for, and channelling the energy from that gratefulness into the things that you want to do today. It’s very important and very effective!
